"The machine was developed to maximize production by acting on two levels: the manual-load weighing section, developed to prepare doses according to a set weight, reduces giveaway to a minimum," explains REV president Fabrizio Fiumana.
While the rotating table with intermittent Rotopack movement developed for the manual packing of punnets and trays introduces practical details that help operators and optimize processing.
"The concept is basic and the rotating table divided into sections is extremely functional: operators only deal with the section in front of them, performing precise actions. The number of operators therefore varies depending on the steps necessary to finish every single punnet. This way the work is simpler, neater and less wearing, saving time and effort and making production more constant."
The fact that processing is manual means all types of punnets can be used and makes it possible for operators to accurately monitor the quality of the products on the line.
"The keywords are convenience and simplicity and not just during processing, but even after it is completed: 6+6 Rotopack boasts an IP65 protection degree, it is made entirely of stainless steel and polymers and the wiring is integrated within the frame, so it can be washed using water jets. In addition, no tools are needed to disassemble it, so sanitation and maintenance are especially quick and easy, not to mention the fact that the frame is sturdy and made of high-level components not subject to wear."
