Fresh From Farm, a platform operating at the intersection of B2B2C, has successfully secured USD 2 million during its Pre-Series A funding, with Inflection Point Ventures playing a significant role. The investment round saw the involvement of Ashish Kacholia, known for his investments in the public markets. The platform is designed to streamline the operations of retailers by managing various aspects such as procurement, handling, sorting, and distribution, thus allowing them to concentrate on sales.
The funds are earmarked for expansion of the team, technological advancements, and the introduction of new product lines, in line with the company's strategy for growth and market expansion. Fresh From Farm leverages a proprietary technology to predict demand and supply, aiming to reduce wastage of fresh produce. It transforms fruit vendors into mini-franchises, overseeing the sourcing, grading, and handling of fruit. Rohit Nagdewani, the founder, brings his experience from founding two other ventures.
Vikram Ramasubramanian of Inflection Point Ventures commented on the inefficiencies in the fresh fruit buying process and highlighted how Fresh From Farm introduces transparency and efficiency, enabling retailers to offer quality produce at fair prices. The platform also emphasizes sustainability by aiming to reduce wastage.
