Introducing Spuddies: a venture into potato chips in Western Australia

Tony Galati, recognized as the Spud King in Western Australia, has launched a new line of potato chips under the brand Spuddies. These chips are produced using potatoes from Galati farms located in Myalup, Lancelin, and Manjimup, with availability across Galati's Spudshed stores. Galati highlights the absence of locally made chips in WA for nearly a decade, despite the region's high-quality potatoes.

"We grow some of the best potatoes in Australia and yet we haven't had any chips made in WA for nearly a decade," he stated. The introduction of Spuddies, available in 300gm packets featuring original, barbecue, chicken, and salt and vinegar flavors, represents a strategic expansion of the Galati Group's portfolio. The Galati Group, a significant agricultural producer and retailer in WA, operates 17 Spudshed stores. With this new venture, Galati aims to fulfill a local demand for quality, locally-produced potato chips.
