The Hemsaýa Economic Society, a subsidiary of Miwe OJSC, has initiated operations on a new production line focusing on dried fruits, as announced by the Rysgal newspaper on Monday.
Turkmenistan's Hemsaýa enterprise showcased its array of dried fruit offerings, crafted from locally sourced and environmentally sustainable harvests, at an exhibition commemorating the 16th anniversary of the establishment of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET), held from March 17-19 of this year.
As per the newspaper report, situated in the Kaka district of Ahal province, the company recently harvested its inaugural crop of bananas last autumn, introducing the fruit to consumers.
Spanning hundreds of hectares, the Hemsaýa enterprise boasts expansive land holdings managed by a team of proficient horticulturists. In addition to numerous orchards cultivating dates, apples, peaches, blackberries, and pears, the enterprise also oversees the cultivation of walnuts and almonds.
