Having spent more than five years as Commercial Director at Growers United, Perry Dekkers has decided to leave the organization effective April 1, 2024. From this date, his responsibilities will be taken over by Kees de Kat, Managing Director of Growers United.
Perry Dekkers: 'Having made a significant contribution to the growth of the organization for over five years, it's now a good time for me to take the next step in my career. I'll be taking my time to decide what I'm going to do next. I would like to thank my colleagues and in particular also our growers, customers, and partners for the wonderful collaboration and wish them every success!'
The new Growers United organization took off partly under Perry's leadership and underwent a huge transformation; the cooperative has seen a more integrated operating style, more intensive teamwork with their supply chain partners and international retail customers, and even further international expansion. We would like to thank Perry for his contribution, we respect his decision and wish him every success for the future.
Change in management structure
In parallel with the announcement of Perry Dekkers' departure, the Board of Growers United has evaluated the policy focused on the future of the cooperative. The board concluded and decided that on account of its size and for reasons of effective management, Growers United will return to a two-member executive board consisting of Kees de Kat (Managing Director) and Stefan van Vliet (Finance Director). Together with the senior management team, they will take charge of the cooperative and put into effect the direction for the future as set by the board.
